The band Roxette was definately an exception to this with their recent concert at the Grand West Arena in Goodwood, Cape Town. The whole event was marvelously well organised out and superbly managed. There was more than enough parking and the staff were very helpful and informative.
Many people will know of this Swedish band from the 1980s and also know a number of their hits, like "Crash, Boom, Bang". The band was definately in fine form and had an amazing performance set up for the audience, which was evident right from the beginning when they came on stage.
They don't look exactly the same now, as they did in this photo, but then who could expect that... Times change and people mature. However, the core of their performance was still exactly the same and that was what the crowd reacted to. You really could hear the years that they have been together and like the Eurythmics, they will definately continue to stun audiences for many years to come.
The Housemates were instantly enthralled by the songs that all of us remembered from not so long ago in our heads (though it was a lot longer in real life). We all sang along to the words that some how reappeared in our memories, as if they had never disappeared and for a couple of hours we felt like the years had turned back.

What can one say about such a classy band that really puts a lot of performers from today to shame, as there was still a lot of artistry in their songs and very little techno-wizardry from the producers: like with current artists like Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and many others.
We all hoped that the current bands would try and learn something from this veteran band with its strong work ethics and level of perfection.
